The Managing Director serves as the senior leader of Molinos Champion, accountable for shaping and delivering the company’s long-term strategic direction, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.
This role combines enterprise leadership with hands-on execution, driving performance across a complex, large-scale animal nutrition and protein production business, The MD will also lead a significant, multi-million-dollar transformation of the protein production platform, ensuring the business is positioned for long-term competitiveness, efficiency, and growth.
Success in this role requires the ability to balance strategy and execution, operate effectively in a dynamic and emerging market environment, and foster a culture rooted in accountability, safety, innovation, and integrity within a multi-national corporate environment and reporting structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Strategy & Business Performance: Define and execute the business strategy, driving sustainable growth, profitability, and financial performance.
- Operational Excellence & Supply Chain Leadership: Lead end-to-end operations and supply chain, ensuring efficiency, reliability, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Commercial & Market Leadership: Drive commercial strategy, market growth, customer relationships, pricing, and product development.
- Governance, Risk & Compliance: Ensure strong corporate governance, compliance, internal controls, and effective management of business risks.
- People Leadership & Organizational Capability: Build a high-performing leadership team and strengthen organizational capability, succession, and culture.
- Stakeholder & External Relations: Represent the company and develop strategic relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Capital Projects & Business Expansion: Lead strategic CAPEX, modernization, and expansion initiatives to strengthen long-term business competitiveness.
Requisitos
Who are we looking for?
- 15+ years of senior leadership experience in animal nutrition, protein production, food manufacturing, or agribusiness.
- Proven leadership of large-scale, complex operations and cross-functional teams.
- Strong experience in CAPEX, expansion, modernization, and operational transformation.
- Solid financial and commercial acumen, with a track record of driving profitability and growth.
- Strong stakeholder management, including Boards, government entities, regulators, and strategic partners.
- Experience in multinational and emerging-market environments; Ecuador experience highly valued.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
